The problem with selling decent record decks is the buyer is unsure of the
condition of the motor. I heard dropping the platter on the spindle damages
it. You won't know it's damanged, but it is.

I don't understand how dropping the platter on the spindle (not that
I've ever done it) can damage the motor. (I could understand bearing
damage). Could you explain further ?

Default Rega 2 + Hadcock

The message
from "Bob Devine" contains these words:

I've got a Rega 2 classic with a Hadcock 228 arm that I'm planning to sell
(unused for 15 years!). EBay looks the best place, but I'm wondering what
it's worth (to gauge a reserve price). I see occasional Rega 2s for sale,
but the Hadcock is an unknown. Condition of the dust cover is fair, Hadcock
is missing it's small weight that pulls the arm across (put away in a
forgotten safe place...)

Thanks

Bob Devine

Bob, I might be interested in your Hadcock. As I can't reply to you
directly, please can you contact me at
?

Thanks,
David
