Most welcome discussions about how to get the best out of

Although judging by their posts, they'll soon run out of things to say.
Any difference to the cretins on here who bash vinyl lovers?
I presume you mean try to show them where they're wrong when they insist
vinyl is more 'realistic' 'natural' 'ambient' 'lifelike' etc etc than CD?

Absolutely not. Most welcome discussions about how to get the best
out of vinyl. It's the cretins who insist at every opportunity that

Vinyl lovers around here always seem to be digital bashers.
There's now a separate newsgroup for vinyl lovers. Don't you hear it
calling you?

You have never been in my room with my choice of furniture, wallcoverings,
cables or components. You have never been in posession of my ears or brain
either.
How would you know what vinyl sounds like to me - how would you know I was
'wrong'.

I sure do.
You ain't left yet.
However, its sound is being stomped on by a strange noise that goes
something like - 'who are we going to bash now?'
No the sound you hear is more like "Once those who habitually bash modern
technology leave, we might be able to get back to talking about audio in the
21st century".

You really amaze me because I have said many, many times that my CD
system gets more play than my vinyl AND that I like my CD's very
much.
Anybody who reads this post will see Bitsy-Brain that you kept
changing the topic until you ended up with this trivial pap.
Its trivial that I like CD and vinyl?
In the original context of this thread, yes. Itsy-Bitsy, I know that your
memory probably doesn't go back to July the 18th, so you should visit
google to review the relevant posts.

The distortions to the signal caused by vinyl will show up regardless of
the above.
You have never been in posession of my ears or brain either.
And god's in his heaven.
How would you know what vinyl sounds like to me - how would you know I
was 'wrong'.
Because for the umpteenth time vinyl *adds* to the original signal -
things like distortion, noise etc as well as limiting the dynamic range
and bandwidth.

Yeh - so?

Your bloody stubborn aren't you.
I like vinyl for what the sound vinyl can give me, regardless of its
technical shortcomings. I like CD because of what it does well, regardless
that it can't supply that certain sound I can get from vinyl. Depending on
the mood I'm in, and the sound I want, I can listen to either.
Now, maybe there is a digi system out there that can give me everything? Is
that digi system available for the price I can afford? My absolute limit for
buying a single item of HiFi is £1000. Anything higher than that is over the
top as far as I am concerened (paying due regard to my families needs).
Until I find a digi system that suppplies it all, I will listen to both AND
I will comment on both. Why do you have to be so negative about vinyl and
why can't you be constructive - like suggest some digi gear that may be in
my price range and may be what I'm looking for?
