Or else
you're an Aussie who's still smarting about the rugby. Come on, which
is
it?
**No decent, honest Aussie is smarting about the Rugby. Not one of us
(Aussies) ever expected Australia to make it through to the finals. Even
fewer of us thought the match would go to extra time. Both teams played
brilliantly and neither Australians, nor the Poms need be ashamed of the
result. Australians cheered the Poms as much as they cheered the Georgians
(Aussies love underdogs) and their own team. Did you notice the rioting,
pillaging and burning of cars in the streets, after the match?
Hint: You didn't, because it never happened. Aussies went away smiling,
because their own team put their hearts and souls into the effort to win.

I know Trevor - I was just looking for a reaction from our friend. It was a
great (if nail-biting at the end) match and the Aussies were very gracious
in defeat - even Campese who had to walk up and down Oxford Street with a
sandwich board saying the Poms were the better team.
Unfortunately for us our national game is football (soccer) and we don't
often get the chance to cheer on real sportsmen; no doubt we'll be living on
this success for years to come!

Fair enough Trevor but aren't you just a bit embarassed that a
fellow countryman of yours should spout such crap?
**Not overly. Being an Australian is not synonymous with 'perfect'.
May I, at this point, remind you that Jeffrey Archer is a Pom? We
all have skeletons in our closets. Even the Americans. Imagine
being an American, travelling the world and having to apologise for
George W?
[Aside] I saw an excellent poster in a music shop yesterday. Under
a charicature of Dubya, were there were the words: "There's a
little town, somewhere in Texas, that has lost it's villlage
idiot."
Perhaps he'd partaken a little too much of the amber nectar
himself before posting : )
**Very likely, yes.
Suck up to the Brits, maybe they'll give you some table scraps if
you're good. Atta boy!
**"Brits"? I have never heard an Aussie refer to Poms as "Brits". Not
ever. I don't think you are an Aussie.
They do *need* to understand, the sad ****s. With that suck up act I
*don't* think you're much of a man. At least not one with any self-
respect.
**"Suck up act"? I don't think so. Anyway, how about explaining yourself?
Why did you refer to them as "Brits"? This is most definitely un-Australian.
They're Poms. If you were a real Aussie, you'd know that. "****s" is not a
term often used in Australia, either. The plot thickens. Your answers to my
little quiz would have received a C-. You have yet to prove yourself.

Who or what exactly is he "sucking up" to?
Anyway you've been rumbled; you're no Aussie - come on own up - you're a
Brit really who's just been dumped by an Aussie bird aren't you. Or else
you're an Aussie who's still smarting about the rugby. Come on, which is
it?
AFAIK, he actually lives deep in the Scottish Highlands..............

As far as I know I'm the only one here deep in the Scottish Highlands so I
hope you are not referring directly to me. If yes then why???

Oops, I do keep getting you and Keith Garrett mixed up! Sorry :-(

Eh? Keith is antipodean, about as far away from Scotland as one can get. Try
black/white, chalk/cheese, 40K/400K
How was India?

Confusing, ain't it? And why would he be setting up a UK hi-fi
website? More confusion..............
How was India?
Great! Really friendly people, top-class food, no sign at all of
'Delhi Belly' (which is unusual for me), and beer at 30p a pint!
Unfortunately, the memsahib managed to spend more on bling than we did
on the entire all-inclusive holiday :-(
So, the dedicated Home Cinema retreats to the back burner yet
again..................
Great, relaxing holiday - I might Goaway again next year!
