Fair enough Trevor but aren't you just a bit embarassed that a fellow
countryman of yours should spout such crap?

**Not overly. Being an Australian is not synonymous with 'perfect'. May I,
at this point, remind you that Jeffrey Archer is a Pom? We all have
skeletons in our closets. Even the Americans. Imagine being an American,
travelling the world and having to apologise for George W?

[Aside] I saw an excellent poster in a music shop yesterday. Under a
charicature of Dubya, were there were the words: "There's a little town,
somewhere in Texas, that has lost it's villlage idiot."

Perhaps he'd partaken a little too much of the amber nectar himself before
posting : )

**Very likely, yes.

Suck up to the Brits, maybe they'll give you some table scraps if you're
good. Atta boy!

**"Brits"? I have never heard an Aussie refer to Poms as "Brits". Not ever.
I don't think you are an Aussie.

Fair comment (about Archer and Bush) although neither of them have felt the
need to come onto a hi-fi newsgroup and call us all ****s!! And at least
we've locked Archer up in prison!

Oh well - hopefully we can get back to arguing about hi-fi again soon : )

**OK. Let's see if you really are an Aussie. Answer the following questions:

1) Complete this sentence: "Fair suck of the .........."
2) What was John Howard's most recent 'backflip'?
3) What acting school did Australia's foremost actors (mostly) attend?
4) Where is the afor-mentioned acting school?
5) What is your favourite (Australian) beer?
6) Describe the perfect woman.
7) Who works in Canberra?

So your attack was really just a bit of Pom bashing then? Get over it.

The Fosters they sell over here is crap but the stuff they sell in Oz is

Where do you think the Fosters sold in England is brewed?

Where do you *think* it is brewed?

Franchised - brewed locally.

They do *need* to understand, the sad ****s. With that suck up act I
*don't* think you're much of a man. At least not one with any self-
respect.

Who or what exactly is he "sucking up" to?

Anyway you've been rumbled; you're no Aussie - come on own up - you're a
Brit really who's just been dumped by an Aussie bird aren't you. Or else
you're an Aussie who's still smarting about the rugby. Come on, which is
it?

**OK. Let's see if you really are an Aussie. Answer the following
questions:

1) Complete this sentence: "Fair suck of the .........."Sav

**Correct. Saveloy, is the full answer, but "Sav" is adequate.

2) What was John Howard's most recent 'backflip'?

Which one trade, Iraq or family payments?

**Nope. I doubt you're an Aussie. Think: Super. I did say "latest backflip".

3) What acting school did Australia's foremost actors (mostly) attend?

National in Sydney

**Nope. NIDA. National Institute for Dramatic Arts.

4) Where is the afor-mentioned acting school?

**Opposite NSW University.

5) What is your favourite (Australian) beer?

I must confess I don't drink, old Tooth's KB

**Ah, Kid's Beer. I won't hold your bad taste against you. Perhaps you're
young. I used to drink it too. I liked the non-slip beer can.

6) Describe the perfect woman.

**You haven't answered this one. It's an easy question. To avoid it,
suggests that you may not be an Aussie. As every Aussie knows, the perfect
woman is:
*Less than 1 metre tall.
*Can suck a golf ball through a garden hose.
*Has a flat head (for resting your beer on).
*Whose father owns a pub (or a brewery).

7) Who works in Canberra?

WTF question is that? See #2.

**The correct answer, as ALL Australians know is: No one works in Canberra.

**No decent, honest Aussie is smarting about the Rugby. Not one of us
(Aussies) ever expected Australia to make it through to the finals. Even
fewer of us thought the match would go to extra time. Both teams played
brilliantly and neither Australians, nor the Poms need be ashamed of the
result. Australians cheered the Poms as much as they cheered the Georgians
(Aussies love underdogs) and their own team. Did you notice the rioting,
pillaging and burning of cars in the streets, after the match?

Hint: You didn't, because it never happened. Aussies went away smiling,
because their own team put their hearts and souls into the effort to win.
