Default Trouble with CD players

Hi folks,
I'm having no luck at all with CD players. I wondered if someone could
hazard a guess as to what the problem is.

I have 3 CD players (all cheap). When I buy a new CD, I can often get
it to play on one machine but not another. The machine that won't play
the CD typically makes a faint clicking noise, but won't start
playing. I have some new CDs that won't play on any of the players!

What can the problem be?

Thank you

Frank

Some of the new copy-protected CD's are reputed to have problems playing
back on various player's and not just the PC's they are meant not to work
on. Would you care to embarrass yourself by naming some of the CD's in
question? :-)

If this is the case you should ensure you take them back to wherever you got
them and demand your money back, its bad enough what the record industry is
doing, even before they have gone to the lengths of making people pay for
CD's that can't even be played!

Mine skipped 28 seconds into Sunchyme. I think the problem was that it
was in the same room as the speakers.

I solved it by copying it onto the hard drive. Now it just makes the
monitors go fuzzy

Comm again, Mike.
