Total recorder on windows does pretty much the same thing - the
application thinks it's a sound driver
when really it's sneakily recoring the PCM data at the same time as
passing it through to the real
driver.

I don't think there's any computer audio source it can't record.

I use Cakewalk Pyro which does the the same. The recordings are saved as
WAVs which can be burned to CD or converted to MP3.

Roy.

How do I get that or are you saying its in every Windows PC?

You can download it from www.download.com (or kazaa). I use it extensively
for recording streaming audio and works like a dream. You can save the file
as an .mp3 at whatever resolution you prefer and burn it to cd from there

An excellent product ;-)

Depends on your morals... There is a 'keygen' program floating around on
kazaa which will generate you a valid license code. Type that into the
'register now' box on the free trial version of Total Recorder and, hey
presto, a fully functional, 'licensed', copy.

You may of course have a moral objection to this in which case I suspect you
can pay for TR by credit card or paypal

Just pay on a credit card - the conversion is handled automatically (at no
cost, generally...).

If you're worried about the transaction, the card transaction is actually
handled by InternetSecure, who are very reputable.
