Default CD Player skipping

My Roksan Kandy Mk3 player has started skipping during the first few minutes
of many CD's. Anyone have any insight on this before I ship it back to
Roksan?

After about 2 mins of the first track, it plays fine to the end.

Perhaps your enjoyment of the album is so great at the beginning of each
CD that you dance about, and make the floorboards shake?

Is there an award for the most useless idiotic advice for a given
month or year?

Dont be stupid - he said the *CD player* was skipping, not himself ;-)

Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for you are tasty and good with ketchup.

When something similar in the skipping line happened to mine (a
different make) I had to ship it back for a service. The usual cleaning
routines had no effect. Hmmn, makes you wonder what mechanisms the hifi
folks buy in for their kit. A variety of cd drives in various pcs here
survive for far longer and suffer far more abuse by way of dust, knocks,
etc.
