Do they still do hi-fi yearbooks?

Alas, no. Wish they did! :-/

The old 50s and 60s Hi-Fi year books I had, I sold on Ebay for rather a
lot of money so I can't look up the specs in there.

I have some 50s/60s issues, but they are at work, so I can't check them at
present.

The RS-DD may be a different beast, if so mea culpa.

The 'RS' and 'DD' refer to some details of the construction. (See
the webpage I mention elsewhere for details.)

If anyone is interested, I've put more details on a webpage at
http://www.st-and.demon.co.uk/temp/super8.html
This shows a pair of (large!) gif images of scans from a
Warfedale pamphlet which is also circa 1964.

Units made at other times may well have differed from the above, though.

Don't forget that the Super 8 was mentioned in Gilbert Briggs 1952 book
'Sound Reproduction' so the design was around for a long time!

Thanks to everyone who has contributed, I have more than enough info now.
Jim, do you mind if I use your gif's to inform potential buyers of the
specifications?

Go ahead, that's fine with me. The data belongs to Wharfedale, not me, and
I doubt they'd object. ;-

Feel free to take a copy of the gifs as they may vanish from my site again
in a few days.

Note my qualifier that "not all Super 8's may be the same", though. The
description is from leaflets circa 1964, but the spec may have been
different at other times.

Slainte,

Jim

Thanks a lot Jim, these Super 8's are from the late 70's - I plan to eBay
them - somebody must want them ;-)

I have copied the gif's.

Many thanks
