Default What's wrong with my deck?

Hi,

I've got a problem with a Sony CDX-C90R. After a little while the sound cuts
out intermittently. My hunch is that its something overheating anf cutting
out due to high temperateure, or maybe something to do with the lens. It is
fine after it has been left for a while. I know its related to the CD part
of the deck because it works fine on Radio, or when I use my CD changer.

Does anyone know what it could be and how much a repair fo this should
cost??

Many thanks,

Dave

Does sound a bit like a problem with heat. Might be worth pulling it out of
the dash, support it on something, and play it for a while, and see if it
cuts out then - if it's getting plenty of air round it but still cuts out,
then it's not likely to be heat-related.

When it does cut out, if you change to the radio straight away, does it work
then, or still need to be left for a while?

Cheers

Might try that...
