Default Speakers from music centre - use with pc?

I know zero about speakers...
I have a Aiwa music centre, Model NSX V900 with a couple of nice speakers,
ref SX-ANV900.
The recording tape deck had failed so thought I would use the Aiwa speakers
with my pc.
Is that possible? If so what plugs into where?..There is a surround speaker
cord plug and a speaker cord with just bare wire end per speaker. Thanks,
Pete

Most PCs have only a line out, so need an external power amp to drive
speakers. If your music centre has an 'Aux' input (probably phono sockets)
then you could feed this from the PC line out or headphone socket.

Thanks for that. Yes the music centre has an Aux but I was hoping to be able
to just use the speakers with the pc...the music centre was going elsewhere.
Guess I can't?

It can't. The music centre does the amplification for the speakers. There
are speakers that run just off the output of the PC, but they sound ****e.
You need an amp and speakers or active speakers.
