Jealosy can be very ugly.

What sort of a **** comes on a hobbyists newsgroup like this and spouts such
garbage? You are a very sad little man.

I have a hobby - I spend my hard-earned money on it. So

Middle aged ****s spending wads of cash on specious audio technology while
millions in the world can't even get a decent meal or basic medical
attention.

You should be ashamed of yourselves, the ****ing lot of you.

Shame.

Spot on Nick. The Green Eyed Monster accounts for much put-downs of
audiophiles, their money and their gear. In my time I've heard some truly
great sounding audiophile systems (some that likely cost a national debt of
a small country). I wonder if yacht owners or expensive car buyers get the
same derisory treatment? .

Now just think how many of the homeless could have been housed on the cost
of the dome or from the ever escalating cost of the new Scottish Parliament
building - audiophiles are just monetary small fry in the scheme of things.

Nah - it doesn't help you prat, it was a simple mistake that doesn't appear
to have overly concerned anyone else.

Oh, I don't know. Maybe, just maybe, those letters we get from
Oxfam etc. telling us how much good £25, £50, whatever, can do in a
poor area have a grain of truth. Which could maybe influence our
decision next time we're tempted to splash out on snake-oil :-)

"Well, *I* think it makes a difference! And it's *MY* money! So
there!"

But why single out hi-fi enthusiasts for this? You could make this argument
about anything that involves spending large sums of money on hobbies;
photography, computers, many sports - you name it.

Face it; he was just trying to provoke a reaction probably because he can't
afford the kit that's talked about on this NG. I stand by my original
comment; he's a twerp.

PS - I've been a regular supporter of Oxfam for years, so I'm off to buy
some new speaker cable now :-)

That's a bizarre charge.

What sort of a **** comes on a hobbyists newsgroup like this and
spouts such garbage? You are a very sad little man.

One who is sickened by the sight of rather pathetic middle-aged ****s
spending money on useless garbage such as speaker cables, turntables etc
while others in the worldl suffer.

Morally bankrupt vapid idiot.

Cheers!

I have a hobby - I spend my hard-earned money on it. So

I take it you've gathered by now that everyone on this NG thinks you're a
total prick?

And wants you to stop posting your moralistic insults for a while.
Stay, listen and participate sensibly (you may learn something)--or go
and do something more constructive for the poor of the world.
