Default Tonearm wire supplier in UK?

Anybody know where I can buy five 1m strands of tonearm wire in the UK?
I'm not looking for an expensive rewire kit, just the fine wire between
the cartridge and the base of the tonearm.

TIA

Ok quality cat5 would seem a good choice, or even STP (shielded twisted
pair). Avaliable from maplan at 30p/m IIRC.

Clearly not a hi-fi/vinyl man!

Try one of the manufacturers like SME (if they still exist) or Hadcock (who
do.) Hadcock used to be based near Derby - Melbourne was it?

Thanks for the suggestions Jim. I have the Maplin's catalogue to hand.

I'm open to all suggestions. The Cat 5FTP Patch cable looks quite thin
on paper 7 x 0.16mm plain copper.

But, as it's a fiddle replacing this kind of fine cable, I'm sure it's
worth asking the manufacturers too.

Thanks.

CAT 5 cable that could be used to wire a pickup *arm*?

Nor have I seen anything suitable in Maplin.

You need a small extremely flexible cable.

I know--that's what I'm looking for!

I just don't want to pay a great deal for a complete bespoke rewiring
kit as the arm (a Helius Scorpio) is a spare. I bought it recently to
use in a turntable plinth for a Garrard 401. It sounds fine, but needs
rewiring to cure an intermittent ground hum.

Thanks Keith. (I did try British Audio Products, as you suggested
earlier, but they didn't reply to either of my two emails ....)
