You state "they go down to about 44hz at -6db" That is a
dramatic minus 6 decibels at a not very low 44hz that they roff
off at! So your subsequent claim "go just as deep in the bass"
cannot be true, it is just not possible with those specs!

That would be "fast bass" ;-)

To be six decibels behind at 44hz, the roll off would have started
much earlier, for those enclosures probably at 250hz the roll off
began, so I wouldn't describe that as fast bass, more "lack of"
or "rapidly vanishing"....

Boonie no doubt obtained the speakers for review. Other than casual
writing for internet freebies, he seems to be pretty much living off the
wife. He's a well-known newgroup punter who recently got bounced from the
staff of one of the glossier internet freebies.
