BTW I don't know whats hot and not for kitchens in the UK, but Corian fell
from favor in the US maybe 10 or more years ago. The new magic is granite.
You can figure what's the next good idea for high end speakers, no? ;-)
The best thing about granite is the built-in radioactivity, both as
subatomic emission and the steady release of radioactive Radon gas.
Down in Cornwall, the UK's main source of granite, all new house
builds must have a ventilated void below the lowest floor to stop the
gas penetrating the house from the ground below.
