Default Moribund Sony CD player

I was under the impression that my Tosh would play DVDs full of MP3s, it
doesn't

That would be getting on for summat like 1,500 tracks/80 hours solid
listening per disk at 128K CBR - bit excessive innit? (Spend more time
navigating the menu than listening to the music!!)

So currently I have my iPod wired up to the system listening to that

The Mordaunt Short speakers are great for movies, but quite frankly suck
for music. I'm desperately missing a dedicated music system

Glad to hear someone say that - the comix are behind them atm, but I've
never rated them ever since they first appeared.

As far as the DVDP goes, I just don't like the way it handles the disks.
The sound isn't too bad but just doesn't compare to the Sony going
direct analogue into the Naims .

Fairy nuff.

PS. Where's the pix for your webpage.....????

It's funny you should mention that. I've put some small pics of the
scraggy (but beautiful sounding) speakers on the page. Click on the pics
and it will open a slightly larger version.

Lovely old things an' all..

I'd put pics of the other stuff up but, frankly, the lack of room
decorating leads to a bit of embarrassment

Wot, like anyone else's drum is any different - do what we all do and crop
the pix real close! Dust is the worst thing on hifi gear - take a close look
at acrylic turntables, in particular, to see what I mean........
