I already have 2 DVD players but the one thing they are all naff (and I
include pretty much every DVDP on the market) at when it comes to the CD
side of things is the user side of things. Dedicated CD players are far
more user friendly and faster when it comes to the UI.


What you need to do is access the Service Menu and change the player to a
UK-specific command set and you'll probably get a scrolling display. Mine
goes like this:

Press open.

2 minutes later it opens.

Put disk in and press Play.

Tray goes in (after a while), player says READING DISK

Wait 5 minutes and press Play again.

Player says STILL READING DISK.

Wait 5 more minutes and press Play again.

Player says HOLD YER FEKKIN' HORSES - I'M ON TO IT!

Wait further 5 minutes, press Play again.

Player says SORRY - GOT DISTRACTED, COMING UP NOW....
