Would anybody be interested in an FM folded dipole?

Best bet is a vertical folded dipole. I wouldn't give those circular
things chimney room!....

Spot on, I agree entirely. An mutation!!! :c) No, they do okay I
suppose, not brilliant, but perhaps okay for your locals.
Could use that simple hertz dipole from Maplin's, but being a
perfectionist, I get drawn to putting up a wideband folded dipole. I'll
see what CPC quote me on the FUNKE models.
Yes another good reason for a folded di-pole, bandwidth!.....
I've been told that in practice there would not be much difference in
reception between the hertz dipole (Maplin's "Radio Rod") and a folded
dipole. But technically, I'm sure the "Radio Rod" is not broadband enough.
And I'm a perfectionist, so I think, I need a broadband dipole, ie a folded
dipole.
When I find out prices for FUNKE'S FM folded dipole, I'll let post it here,
so if anyone is interested, they can know what the cost would be.
As you say, probably best mounted vertically.
Yes and space it fairly well away from other metalwork so as not to
upset the directional properties...
